SAKUMETA Tayama Cosplay Wig
Custom Wine Red Heat-Resistant Matte Fiber
Inspired by Tayama from Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You, this cosplay wig features custom wine red heat-resistant matte synthetic fibers that faithfully recreate her distinctive hairstyle. The rich matte finish minimizes unwanted shine while maintaining a soft, natural anime-inspired appearance.
The premium fibers support heat styling up to 150°C, allowing trimming, reshaping, and personalized styling while remaining smooth, durable, and resistant to tangling.
Shoulder-Length Bob with Naturally Curved Ends
This shoulder-length bob is carefully designed with softly curved inward ends to recreate Tayama's calm and understated appearance. The balanced silhouette offers a clean and elegant look while staying faithful to the original character design.
Professionally pre-styled by SAKUMETA, the wig provides an excellent foundation for conventions, cosplay photography, and everyday cosplay wear.
Pre-Styled Anime Bangs for Easy Cosplay
The pre-shaped bangs closely follow the proportions of the original anime character, naturally framing the face while enhancing authenticity. The design also reduces styling time, making it suitable for beginners and experienced cosplayers alike.
Extra trimming length is reserved so the bangs can be customized to suit different face shapes and personal preferences.
Realistic Scalp Top for Natural Hair Parting
A realistic scalp top creates a natural-looking hair part that improves realism during close-up photography and stage performances. The detailed construction helps the wig blend seamlessly into your cosplay presentation.
Combined with layered hair placement, the overall hairstyle achieves a clean and highly accurate anime appearance.
Breathable Rose Mesh Cap with Adjustable Straps
The breathable rose mesh cap improves airflow and comfort during extended wear, while adjustable elastic straps provide a secure fit for a variety of head sizes.
Designed with both comfort and durability in mind, this SAKUMETA cosplay wig is ideal for conventions, stage performances, photography, and daily cosplay activities.
Beyond Cosplay - Bring the Character to Life
In the quiet, hidden corner behind a bustling supermarket, Tayama stands as a captivating figure with a striking duality. By day, she is the picture-perfect, sweet-talking cashier who offers a flawless, mechanical smile to every customer. But when the shift ends and she steps into the dimly lit break area, she sheds that corporate facade to reveal her true self: a cool, laid-back young woman with a raspy voice and a rebellious edge. Bonding over a shared cigarette with a weary middle-aged office worker, she slowly opens up, showing a surprisingly gentle and caring side beneath her tough exterior. Her signature wine-red bob perfectly captures this blend of everyday warmth and hidden edge, making her an unforgettable protagonist for fans of this heartwarming slice-of-life romance.
To faithfully recreate Tayama's iconic look, SAKUMETA crafted this premium cosplay wig using custom wine red heat-resistant matte fibers, a realistic scalp top, and a professionally pre-styled shoulder-length silhouette. Designed for anime conventions, cosplay photography, stage performances, and everyday cosplay, this wig combines screen-accurate details with lasting comfort and easy styling.

How to Wear a Wig?
Before wearing a wig, ensure your hair is securely fixed with a wig cap, making sure it is smooth and flat to avoid puffiness or slippage. The wig cap should fit snugly against your scalp without being too tight to maintain comfort. When putting on the wig, start at the forehead and slowly pull it back over your head, aligning the wig's hairline with your natural hairline. Adjust the wig to cover your entire head and gently pat it to ensure a snug fit.
If the wig has straps or clips, use them to enhance stability, especially during extended wear or outdoor activities. For long wigs, gently comb the strands after wearing to maintain a natural and neat appearance.
What is Wig Styling Level?
Wig Styling Level is a star-based rating system (★ one star to ★★★★★ five stars) that shows how much styling effort may be needed to achieve the look shown in our product photos. Some wigs are nearly ready to wear, while others may require trimming, shaping, or other DIY styling work.
How to Care for Your Wig After Wearing?
It's normal for your wig to get messy after wearing due to friction with clothing. Carry a wig care spray to reduce frizz and static. After removing the wig, finger-detangle knots, then gently comb from the ends up. For stubborn tangles, trim as needed without affecting the overall look. Wigs don’t need frequent washing; once every 1-2 months is sufficient. To remove hairspray or sweat, soak the wig briefly in lukewarm water with shampoo, then air dry naturally, avoiding heat or direct sunlight.
How to Clean Your Wig?
Wigs don't require frequent washing. If worn daily, clean them every 1-2 months; if worn occasionally, every six months is sufficient. For cleaning, submerge the wig in lukewarm water, add a small amount of shampoo or conditioner, and gently wash it, avoiding vigorous scrubbing or prolonged soaking. After washing, press the wig with a towel to absorb excess water, but do not use a hot dryer or direct sunlight to dry it, as this can damage the fibers. Air drying is the best way to maintain the wig's texture and style.
Why Does My Wig Make My Head Look Big or Feel Unstable?
If your wig makes your head look larger or feels unstable, it’s likely because your natural hair wasn’t properly secured with a wig cap. The right way is to first wrap your hair tightly with a wig cap and secure it with hairpins to ensure a smooth, even surface. This will help the wig sit securely and prevent it from making your head appear larger.
Wig Hair Quality
Wig hair quality can vary depending on the season, style, and material. During summer, wigs tend to be smoother, so it’s best to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent deformation. In winter, wigs might feel drier, so soaking them in warm water with conditioner can help keep them smooth and reduce static.
Can Wigs Be Heat-Styled or Dyed?
High-temperature synthetic wigs can be styled with curling irons or flat irons at temperatures below 120°C (248°F). However, be cautious with the heat to avoid damaging the fibers. While wigs can be dyed, we recommend against it since synthetic fibers lack cuticles to lock in color, leading to quick fading. Additionally, the dyeing process for wigs is complex and can be time-consuming, so it’s best to avoid re-dyeing to preserve the wig’s quality.
Is a higher star level better quality?
Not at all. The level only reflects how much styling work might be needed—not the quality of the wig itself. All of our character wigs (except universal/base wigs) come with a basic pre-style. The star level simply helps you estimate how much additional effort may be required to recreate the look in the product images.
I’m new to cosplay—what level should I choose?
We recommend starting with wigs rated 1 to 3 stars. These usually require minimal styling or are very beginner-friendly. You can still look fantastic without needing professional tools or prior experience.
