SAKUMETA EDOGAWA RANPO Black Cosplay Wig
Pre-Set Reversed Base Curve, Cosplay Beginner Friendly
This wig features a pre-set reversed base curve, making it user-friendly for cosplay beginners. The pre-defined curve helps in quickly shaping the character's hairstyle and simplifies the styling process. This design reduces the difficulty for first-time cosplayers and enhances the overall user experience by making character recreation more accessible.
Rounded Silicone Realistic Scalp Top for Natural Falling Hair
The wig is designed with a rounded silicone realistic scalp top, which enhances the natural falling effect of the hair. The silicone scalp accurately simulates the texture of a real scalp, allowing the hair to fall naturally and realistically. This design improves the overall visual appeal and ensures a high level of character hair recreation, helping cosplayers present the character’s unique style effectively.
Multi-Layer Hand-Woven Design for Multi-Angle Character Recreation
To accurately recreate the character from multiple angles, SAKUMETA has employed a multi-layer hand-woven design for Edogawa Ranpo’s short hair. Although hand-weaving is more time-consuming and costly, it provides a better depiction of hair layers, making the short hair at the back and sides more distinct. This design allows cosplayers to easily use hair wax for detailed styling, ensuring the wig looks natural and true to the character from every angle, whether in photos or on stage.
Breathable Rose Mesh Cap for Long Wear
The wig features a breathable rose mesh cap design, ensuring comfort during extended wear. The ventilation keeps the scalp cool and dry, avoiding the discomfort often associated with traditional wigs. This design offers long-lasting comfort, allowing cosplayers to engage in various activities without worrying about discomfort from prolonged wear.
Rear Elastic Buckle, Suitable for All Head Sizes
The rear elastic buckle design makes the wig adaptable to various head sizes, providing a secure and comfortable fit. The adjustable buckle allows users to find the most suitable wearing position, ensuring the wig stays in place during activities. This feature enhances the wig’s versatility, allowing for easy adjustments to accommodate individual needs.

How to Wear a Wig?
Before wearing a wig, ensure your hair is securely fixed with a wig cap, making sure it is smooth and flat to avoid puffiness or slippage. The wig cap should fit snugly against your scalp without being too tight to maintain comfort. When putting on the wig, start at the forehead and slowly pull it back over your head, aligning the wig's hairline with your natural hairline. Adjust the wig to cover your entire head and gently pat it to ensure a snug fit.
If the wig has straps or clips, use them to enhance stability, especially during extended wear or outdoor activities. For long wigs, gently comb the strands after wearing to maintain a natural and neat appearance.
How to Care for Your Wig After Wearing?
It's normal for your wig to get messy after wearing due to friction with clothing. Carry a wig care spray to reduce frizz and static. After removing the wig, finger-detangle knots, then gently comb from the ends up. For stubborn tangles, trim as needed without affecting the overall look. Wigs don’t need frequent washing; once every 1-2 months is sufficient. To remove hairspray or sweat, soak the wig briefly in lukewarm water with shampoo, then air dry naturally, avoiding heat or direct sunlight.
How to Clean Your Wig?
Wigs don't require frequent washing. If worn daily, clean them every 1-2 months; if worn occasionally, every six months is sufficient. For cleaning, submerge the wig in lukewarm water, add a small amount of shampoo or conditioner, and gently wash it, avoiding vigorous scrubbing or prolonged soaking. After washing, press the wig with a towel to absorb excess water, but do not use a hot dryer or direct sunlight to dry it, as this can damage the fibers. Air drying is the best way to maintain the wig's texture and style.
Why Does My Wig Make My Head Look Big or Feel Unstable?
If your wig makes your head look larger or feels unstable, it’s likely because your natural hair wasn’t properly secured with a wig cap. The right way is to first wrap your hair tightly with a wig cap and secure it with hairpins to ensure a smooth, even surface. This will help the wig sit securely and prevent it from making your head appear larger.
Wig Hair Quality
Wig hair quality can vary depending on the season, style, and material. During summer, wigs tend to be smoother, so it’s best to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent deformation. In winter, wigs might feel drier, so soaking them in warm water with conditioner can help keep them smooth and reduce static.
Can Wigs Be Heat-Styled or Dyed?
High-temperature synthetic wigs can be styled with curling irons or flat irons at temperatures below 120°C (248°F). However, be cautious with the heat to avoid damaging the fibers. While wigs can be dyed, we recommend against it since synthetic fibers lack cuticles to lock in color, leading to quick fading. Additionally, the dyeing process for wigs is complex and can be time-consuming, so it’s best to avoid re-dyeing to preserve the wig’s quality.
