SAKUMETA Kikoru Shinomiya Cosplay Wig
Custom Golden Blonde Heat-Resistant Matte Fiber
Inspired by Kikoru Shinomiya from Kaiju No. 8, this cosplay wig features a carefully customized golden blonde shade that faithfully recreates the character's iconic hairstyle. The premium heat-resistant matte synthetic fibers deliver a soft, natural anime appearance while minimizing unwanted shine for superior screen accuracy.
Supporting heat styling up to 150°C, the fibers allow trimming, reshaping, and personalized styling while remaining smooth, durable, and resistant to tangling.
Detachable Twin Tail Design for Flexible Styling
The detachable twin tail construction accurately reproduces Kikoru's signature hairstyle while making assembly and transportation more convenient. Each ponytail is securely attached, allowing quick installation and reliable wear throughout cosplay events.
This flexible design also makes maintenance and future styling adjustments easier for both beginners and experienced cosplayers.
Voluminous Curled Twin Tails with Dynamic Shape
Professionally pre-styled with highly voluminous twin tails and naturally curled ends, the wig recreates the energetic silhouette seen in the anime. The balanced volume adds movement while maintaining the clean structure of the original character design.
Every strand is carefully arranged to preserve the hairstyle's shape, making it ideal for conventions, photography, stage performances, and cosplay competitions.
Layered Blunt Bangs for Accurate Anime Proportions
The layered blunt bangs are carefully shaped to match Kikoru Shinomiya's recognizable facial framing, enhancing anime accuracy while naturally complementing different face shapes.
The carefully balanced proportions highlight the character's confident expression and improve the overall realism of the cosplay presentation.
Thick Heat-Resistant Matte Fiber with Breathable Rose Mesh Cap
Constructed with abundant premium matte fibers, the wig provides excellent fullness without exposing the wig cap, creating a polished and professional appearance. The breathable rose mesh cap and adjustable elastic straps ensure a secure and comfortable fit for various head sizes.
Developed by SAKUMETA, this cosplay wig combines durability, comfort, and high character accuracy, making it suitable for long convention days, photoshoots, performances, and professional cosplay productions.
Beyond Cosplay - Bring the Character to Life
In a world plagued by the sudden appearance of monstrous Kaiju, Kikoru Shinomiya stands as a brilliant beacon of hope and a prodigy of the Japanese Defense Force. Born into a prestigious family of elite defenders, she carries the heavy legacy of her late mother, the legendary "Valkyrie" Hikari, and her father, the Chief Commander. Despite the immense pressure and the tragic loss of both her parents, Kikoru refuses to let sorrow define her. Instead, she channels her grief into an unyielding resolve, vowing to protect humanity and ensure no one else suffers the same fate. Her signature golden hair, styled in dynamic twin tails, perfectly mirrors her fierce, confident, and highly disciplined personality. She is a warrior who fights with overwhelming power and unwavering dedication, making her an unforgettable figure for fans of Kaiju No. 8.
To faithfully recreate Kikoru Shinomiya's unforgettable look, SAKUMETA designed this premium cosplay wig using custom golden blonde heat-resistant matte fibers, detachable twin tails, professionally pre-styled curls, and a breathable construction for lasting comfort. How to Wear a Wig?
Before wearing a wig, ensure your hair is securely fixed with a wig cap, making sure it is smooth and flat to avoid puffiness or slippage. The wig cap should fit snugly against your scalp without being too tight to maintain comfort. When putting on the wig, start at the forehead and slowly pull it back over your head, aligning the wig's hairline with your natural hairline. Adjust the wig to cover your entire head and gently pat it to ensure a snug fit.
If the wig has straps or clips, use them to enhance stability, especially during extended wear or outdoor activities. For long wigs, gently comb the strands after wearing to maintain a natural and neat appearance.
What is Wig Styling Level?
Wig Styling Level is a star-based rating system (★ one star to ★★★★★ five stars) that shows how much styling effort may be needed to achieve the look shown in our product photos. Some wigs are nearly ready to wear, while others may require trimming, shaping, or other DIY styling work.
How to Care for Your Wig After Wearing?
It's normal for your wig to get messy after wearing due to friction with clothing. Carry a wig care spray to reduce frizz and static. After removing the wig, finger-detangle knots, then gently comb from the ends up. For stubborn tangles, trim as needed without affecting the overall look. Wigs don’t need frequent washing; once every 1-2 months is sufficient. To remove hairspray or sweat, soak the wig briefly in lukewarm water with shampoo, then air dry naturally, avoiding heat or direct sunlight.
How to Clean Your Wig?
Wigs don't require frequent washing. If worn daily, clean them every 1-2 months; if worn occasionally, every six months is sufficient. For cleaning, submerge the wig in lukewarm water, add a small amount of shampoo or conditioner, and gently wash it, avoiding vigorous scrubbing or prolonged soaking. After washing, press the wig with a towel to absorb excess water, but do not use a hot dryer or direct sunlight to dry it, as this can damage the fibers. Air drying is the best way to maintain the wig's texture and style.
Why Does My Wig Make My Head Look Big or Feel Unstable?
If your wig makes your head look larger or feels unstable, it’s likely because your natural hair wasn’t properly secured with a wig cap. The right way is to first wrap your hair tightly with a wig cap and secure it with hairpins to ensure a smooth, even surface. This will help the wig sit securely and prevent it from making your head appear larger.
Wig Hair Quality
Wig hair quality can vary depending on the season, style, and material. During summer, wigs tend to be smoother, so it’s best to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent deformation. In winter, wigs might feel drier, so soaking them in warm water with conditioner can help keep them smooth and reduce static.
Can Wigs Be Heat-Styled or Dyed?
High-temperature synthetic wigs can be styled with curling irons or flat irons at temperatures below 120°C (248°F). However, be cautious with the heat to avoid damaging the fibers. While wigs can be dyed, we recommend against it since synthetic fibers lack cuticles to lock in color, leading to quick fading. Additionally, the dyeing process for wigs is complex and can be time-consuming, so it’s best to avoid re-dyeing to preserve the wig’s quality.
Is a higher star level better quality?
Not at all. The level only reflects how much styling work might be needed—not the quality of the wig itself. All of our character wigs (except universal/base wigs) come with a basic pre-style. The star level simply helps you estimate how much additional effort may be required to recreate the look in the product images.
I’m new to cosplay—what level should I choose?
We recommend starting with wigs rated 1 to 3 stars. These usually require minimal styling or are very beginner-friendly. You can still look fantastic without needing professional tools or prior experience.
